Our team is currently looking for a Personal Lines Broker to contribute to our client service and development. On a daily basis, this colleague advises policyholders on the products best suited to their situation and negotiates with various insurers on their behalf. He/she identifies and evaluates the risks and needs of the clientele. Depending on your skills and abilities, you will be called upon to act in both the service and new business areas.

Note that a hybrid work mode is possible for this position: a healthy combination of face-to-face (in-office) mode to maintain good contact with the team and telecommuting mode for a good "personal and professional life" balance!

Responsibilities :

• Act proactively to identify new customers (sales and new business) ;
• Directly advise the public on the choice of various property and casualty insurance products with several insurers;
• Act as a resource person for existing clients' questions and issues (service);
• Analyze the risks submitted to him/her and select the best product (quality/price) in his/her market according to the client's needs;
• Negotiate conditions with insurers and present offers to clients;
• Supervise the issuance of policies according to the required process;
• Ensuring the proper flow of information to the claims department when necessary;
• And because collaboration is paramount in our team, be open to helping and supporting colleagues.

Desired Skills:

• Hold a valid personal lines insurance certificate issued by AMF;
• At least 3 years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position;
• Have specific and significant experience related to new business in personal lines insurance;
• Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written;
• Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
• Have a good knowledge of Sig XP software and the computer systems of Aviva, Intact, L'Unique and Economical (a significant asset);
• Strong customer service skills;
• Enjoy teamwork;
• Enjoys actively listening to and advising customers on their needs;
• Act in a professional manner and with integrity in all customer situations.
